Things are pretty much back to normal today. So I had time to investigate my new toy ‘in depth’. As elk is a hand puppet someone thought it would be fun to put something in the ‘opening’ at the bottom.

So I spent some considerable time today trying to get the squeaker ball out. Unfortunately that means I get my nose stuck in there every now and then.

Shaking it doesn’t help either so it’s still in there! Any tips?
It’s not been a good day for me today… I’ve been naughty.
The postman left a parcel on our veranda this morning and, naturally, I thought it was for me … and started to open it. Well, it wasn’t for me at all, it was for Amelie from her great aunt in Germany!
Oooops! I stopped when I couldn’t smell anything edible. I’m sorry, Amelie!
And then things just didn’t get any better. I got so excited this evening because I found a hedgehog on the front garden.
And then another just by the veranda!
But I couldn’t get to it. So I had to climb right underneath the bench, and because I was so excited I bit the banister!!! Ooooops. Sorry, Pete!
And as if that wasn’t enough, I accidentally took baby monkey and got him all wet … in the pond. Sorry Monkey!
Well, I needed someone to talk to. So me and Buddy sat down together and had a good ‘Heart To Heart’
We figure it’s all down to our lodgers moving out today. We’ll miss them terribly. I hope Russ leaves me a sock!
Today I had a lovely surprise! I got a new elk!
I love elks, I had one when I was a pup and I took him everywhere, he was my best mate.
But then he tragically lost his eyes … and then his stuffing … and then he disappeared 🙁
This one has a very smart checked scarf – very trendy.
We played outside for a while. But then he disappeared! Oh NO!
I couldn’t find him anywhere.
I looked here…
and there, and everywhere. Then, suddenly, I found his scent…
and there he was, hiding!
Well, he got a good shaking for giving me such a fright.
I’ll certainly have to keep a much closer eye on him.
