I was just settling down accepting the fact that I’ll be a single dale for a while longer, hanging out with Dad …

… watching my favourite TV program – Dog Borstal –

… and just imagining what it would be like to be one of two …

when I found THIS under the kitchen table after my evening walk yesterday!!!

Her name is Nelly and she is 12 weeks old … and she is my new sister! I was soo excited! She was a little bit scared at first and kept hiding …

and at first I thought she was a young lady Dale come for my special attention 😉 but Mum and Dad kept telling me off and I eventually settled…sigh. I like young lady Dales coming for my ‘special attention’.
Anyway, Nelly has settled in very nicely. She’s had a good night – no howling! – with just one puddle on the newspaper, and spent all day today getting ALL the toys out of the toybox and taking everything off me including my after-walk-bone! But I had to draw a line there so I ran after her and gently took it off her – she can’t manage that! She can manage chicken wings!

That’s her first one ever! She did very well, it only took her 15 minutes to demolish it. She never stops playing and is always looking for something to eat … and she pinches my chewies (out of my mouth 😯 ). Tonight I was cracking some nuts for her – she liked that.
Hey … She likes cheese too!

So, after all the agonising about ‘it not being the right time’ (blablabla), and Dad not really wanting another dog they’ve just gone ahead and got her. She is a Shadlian girl and not closely related to me (Just in case there is a little accident). We would just like to say ‘Thank You’ for all your kind and supportive comments to the previous post, and especially to Noah, Willow, Lucy and Tess for giving us this lovely award!

We would like to pass this award on to Sybil and Hector – they’ve just had to say ‘Good bye’ to Basil who went over the rainbow bridge a little while ago and Sybil is not so well herself. Get better quickly girl!
So, from my little sister Nelly and me …

Bye for now.
One very happy Finni
