I think I&#8217;m going to enter 2 out of the 3 categories &#8211; &#8216;Most Improved Beard&#8217; and &#8216;Best Muddy Face&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>We had a little disagreement on my initial measurement, I thought my beard was around the 5 inches mark<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-578\" title=\"5inches\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/5inches.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/5inches.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/5inches-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>but Mum said biting off the first 1.5 inches of the ruler was cheating and not allowed!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-579\" title=\"cheating\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/cheating.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/cheating.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/cheating-300x267.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the end we settled on a freshly groomed 3.5 inches!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-580\" title=\"beardcompetition\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/beardcompetition.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/beardcompetition.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.ragamuffinn.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/beardcompetition-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Plenty of room for &#8216;improvement&#8217; there then! I wonder if Dad would accept that as valid reason for getting a little sister &#8230; If anybody can think of any good ideas on how to persuade Dad &#8211; please let me know!!!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, we had a lovely weekend as Amelie turned ONE today!!! She has been walking for the past few weeks &#8211; proper upright stuff like Mum and Dad!
